I skip much of it, esp. petty things/usually look for confirmation when I don't. I did trust that she was telling the truth for this. it fits

what's been happening with him - what he's been saying, not wanting to be questioned, and why his appearances have been limited/the usual press gaggle kept away from regular questions for him like they do for all candidates.
I wish he was running like he didn't think he already has a long-deserved win in the bag.
