Amusing dentist moment this morning (i had a 7am appt):

so, i'm in the chair getting my teeth cleaned, and my dentist is doing it herself. She also has a hygienist who came in about 7:15. As the hygienist passes the door, my dentist says "oh, Silva, your first appointment? Make sure to be really rough on him. Make him bleed."

not really what i expect from her, you know?

as my mouth was full of sharp tools, i just raise my eyebrows at her and she starts laughing and says "he's my old professor."

*eyebrow raise again*

more laughing.

"no, i'm not trying to torture him. Unless you really dig and scrap violently, he complains his teeth weren't cleaned well enough."

still, "make him bleed" was funny.
