I'm in St. Louis and went to the Cardinals game tonight. Matt Carpenter bunted against an extreme shift for a stand up double.

The shift stops a lot of hits but my point is that when he bunts against the shift he's not trying to hit a HR and the other teams are happy -- (edited)
