It's kind of why I like it so much. There's really no behind the camera intervention or setting things up. They're left alone with some goods

and have to last as long as possible. They don't know if anyone else is still going until they decide to quit. Only then do they find out if they lasted the longest.

It's well done and the people all tend to be skilled survivalists. They make some really good shelters but all have the same problem, food.

If you don't watch it I highly recommend it if you like the genre.
