Pie may be pyrite, but he was more proven than Reimold at the start of the season.

Reimold played all of last year in AA at 24. Pie played better when he was in AA, and that was when he was 20. He also had AAA experience, where he hit well, and MLB experience, where he didn't. Pie seems to be a AAAA player, but could start for some teams because he's a CF.
Reimold was brought up after 31 games at AAA. That's not much of a wait, and certainly not too much of a wait.
