That's moot, since he never played AAA until this year.

Reimold had shown an inability to stay healthy throughout his minor league career. They wanted to know that he could stay healthy before calling him up. I doubt he was even on the 40-man roster. While he was proving that, he was being outhit by Montanez. So when they needed to promote someone last season, they went with the guy who was hitting better and could fill in at CF in case Jones needed to miss a few games.
