This has been the weirdest development at work I've ever seen (barring the fact that everyone speculated it would happen)

Our current department used to be in the same department as Department B

Department B hired a new VP to head it when we split from them

Over the next 18 months, VP hired a number (10 or so) people to fill vacant positions/positions that had been recently created. Most of the 10 had worked for VP
at his previous place of work..

VP was here for maybe 5 or 6 years. He left about this time last year.

Since then *all of the 10 people* he brought with him have left. About half followed him to his new location.

It's just so weird that he brought the whole slate in, and they've all cleared out.

Like I said, a bit into VP's tenure, we started speculating that this would happen. But it's still odd.
