One other tip, I saw the This Old House guys either remove the old one or put the new one in with tank and bowl connected rather than 1 + 1

You can do this because all that's really holding the whole thing to your bathroom are the two floor bolt nuts and the water supply line.

The benefits are that you can remove the old one without struggling with the tank bolts, and with the new one you can comfortably attach the tank to the base in an open area.

The downside is that you're moving heavier, bulkier weight. I chose to do the base and tank separately because I didn't have any help, and I wanted to make sure each piece was working properly step by step.
