Good example! Yep, when a pitcher is struggling, an opener can get through the top of the order, or once through the order...makes it so much easier -- (edited)

for that pitcher to gain momentum and get themselves out of mental jams.
I've been begging the Rockies to do this with Freeland--about 6 weeks overdue
