If they don't they get a draft pick and no players for him. It's a tough call but they have to be honest about whether they think they have a legit

shot at winning the WS. Making the playoffs and not winning it all isn't worth keeping him and not getting multiple players in return that can help in the future.
Can you beat the Dodgers in a series? The Yankees or Houston or whomever comes out of the tougher AL?
If I'm the GM, I trade him and likely Smith and another reliever because they're in demand. They'll bring in a nice haul of guys to build up an even better team in the following seasons.
