I think there needs to be some scalability in terms of the severity of offenses.

What happened with Franken seems out of scale with what he did. Which was mainly a result of the timing of when the accusations came out.

Now if what he did ended up costing him a re-election bid because it kept some from voting for him that'd be fine. That's how it should've worked IMO.
