They showed up at 11am, wanting their check. I told them I would have it by 3pm, per the order. They argued that it was "by 3pm" which meant they could have it now.
My reply was, "So, if you wanted it at 5am I would have to give it to you?" (That was when they replied my hours are ridiculous). These are people that have not had a job since 2015. So yeah, tell me about my work hours.
I finally acted like I was calling the police and saying I had people refusing to leave my office, so they left. They parked up the hill and waited (probably did not have enough gas to go back to town and back again).
I went ahead and wrote their check and put it on the outside of the door (magnets). I even stepped out and waved it at them as I did not like their SUV sitting there. They did not come and get it.
They called the cops. The office was not really sure why. I pointed to the check on the door and he just shook his head. I offered him a coke and we chatted for a minute.
He flagged them down the hill and I could hear him telling them the check was on the door, 3 hours early. They actually started getting mouthy with them and I heard him say, "Get you check and get the hell out of here." They did.
