from a bb re: the ranch salsa thing, it turned out there's a small local restaurant chain in Indiana that has it as a dip; and it's not chunky salsa..

it's more like a smooth hot sauce that's added, so it ends up being like a southwest ranch dressing or dip and not piece-y unappetizingness.
