Related to Pippy's story below- I've had this happen to me more than once, but this is my favorite where I had to jump in.

In an internal meeting we had to do an icebreaker activity, and say name, service line, etc. and provide a fun fact. So I went harmless and said "I really enjoy watching movies, so I guess I'm a it of a movie buff." So at a break...

Guy: So you really like watching movies, huh. Have you ever been to Sundance?

Me: I haven't actually, but I'd like to go one day, I've heard it's a lot of fun.

Guy: Um, well how can you call yourself a movie buff if you haven't been to Sundance? I mean that's basic. I went to Sundance with friends, and we stayed at a friends dad's place. We hit all the parties, saw celebrities. It was great. But yeah, Sundance is what makes you a movie buff, sorry. (Add 2 more minutes of how cool he is about seeing movies).

Me: I went to the Oscars this year.

Guy: Wait...what? I mean how? If you ever get an extra ticket I would love to go.
