It seems clear that Shari had dirt on Moonves and used it to torpedo him. While merger talks are still underway, the negotiations are moving forward. The fact that they've laid out the leadership to a company that does not yet exist seems that the merger is imminent. The moratorium on merger that was agreed to after Moonves stepped down is about to expire.
