You're blurring all of his revenue models. In terms of Twitch earnings, he's indicated he gets about no more than $250k per month.

That's a max of $3 million, and he'd indicated it's less than that...before taxes. Most of his income comes from paid appearances and endorsements.
As an example, he got $1 million just for playing Apex Legends. That was one of the smartest investments any company's ever had because of Ninja's cool factor. That game became huge off of an inconsequential ad buy.
But the amount of money that Twitch pays him is only a fraction of his revenue. My guess is that he bumped that up to about $20 million over 3-4 years. If he did better than that, good for him...but Microsoft is taking a huge risk on a service that most people don't care about.
