If they were spending billions a year on their transit then I'm sure they'd have better than what we both have today.

I've seen videos of their trains with people hanging off the sides and riding on top. I know what we have isn't that bad comparatively speaking. We have it better in so many ways I couldn't list it but that doesn't mean we aren't allowed to complain when what we have isn't working properly. This isn't India. We're one of the richest cities in one of the richest states in one of the richest countries on earth. You're damn right we're upset that our trains aren't better!
NY spends billions every year for this system. We're not getting our money's worth and we're right to complain.
It's not about being spoiled. We don't want luxury trains. Just ones that arrive on time.
