My data gets hacked from Experian, and I can get $125 dollars OH but wait. Too many people are going after that so if I do that I will get 30-70 dollars maybe? A company who's job is to keep and give companies a credit rating on me gave all my information to a hacker. Shouldn't I be getting a few thousand or more for that kind of recklessness?
Now up the street from me there is an ARCO AMPM and I go there one day buy a 44oz Soda and a candy bar. I don't have cash so I use my debit card. On the debit machine it says we charge .25 cents for you to use your debit card. Okay that sucks but I am not driving elsewhere to grab the same shit to save a quarter.
A year goes by and I get a class action settlement for $91.94 for that single .25 charge they gouged me. I just got the check today.
I would expect Experian to give me several thousand compensation, and Arco up the street to give me 5 bucks, 10 bucks for taking a quarter from me
