Same thing is happening up here in Portland at a few grocery stores.

The UFCW is threatening a strike along the entire West Coast. And for several good reasons (though I also think they're exaggerating one or two).
I stopped shopping at the stores that are taking those measures. Most of them are placing hiring adds for replacement workers, but that's it.
