It may be the right football move, but remember what state you live in. He could lead them to an undefeated season capped with the SB win and a large part of the fanbase would still hate the signing.
The other concerns are the possibility that he wouldn't want to sign. Or his gf could post something stupid and make the team decide to pass. There's also the chance that he's been gone too long and isn't ready to start. Especially not in 2 weeks. I actually think he wants no part of the NFL anymore.
