I can’t get it upset with any player who decides the brain damage isn’t worth it. If you don’t love the game I don’t think you can play it effectively

If I feel burnt out at work I may be less productive and it may hurt the bottom line, but I’m not risking physical damage and permanent brain injury. Maybe after a year off he’ll want back in, but if I were him I’d take my millions and walk away too.
