Give republicans who don’t like Trump an alternative since they’ll never vote for the democratic candidate. Shave enough votes away from Trump that it makes his path that much harder.

Not sure Walsh is that guy but Kasich or Romney could be.

They could position it as the ‘take our party back’ movement.
