A little girl at the airport came sprinting at me to the point that I couldn't figure out what was going on. She was heading for her grandfather standing right behind me. Her slightly bigger sister did the same thing a second later.
One of the sisters reached the stairs of the escalator and just melted down. She wouldn't follow them down. A kindly African-American gentleman confidently grabbed her hand, told her he'd protect her, and guided her down the stairs.
The family of six would have seemed right at home at a Rick Santorum speech, but they screamed their gratitude his entire trip down the escalator. It was inspiring.
We all want to be good people. We just get confused sometimes.
