I've had pneumonia several times and it always starts the same way--I get real tired and have a headache for a couple days.

Then all of the sudden, it's like BLAM! My ribs hurt, I can't stop coughing, I run a high fever, and I hurt all over. I swear, even my hair hurts.
Flu seems to come on a little slower, it builds up over 12-24 hours rather than just hitting you hard all at once. We've already had some verified influenza cases, so I bet that's what you have. I feel for you, having the flu is a bitch.
