I guess I'm a freak. I *like* washing machine noise (soothing!) and leaning over doesn't bother me. With a front loader you'd have to squat.

Or get a regular one! :) I had a F/L in my last apartment, now that I recall, and I always had to rinse twice. Also, front loads flood the apartment.

you really don't need them. we use them. the washer is low, but really, like Bery said, you put the basket in front and just push it in.

My laundry basket is about the same height as the bottom unit (the washer), so I basically just shovel everything in.

What I do Bery is let all the washing pile up, then once a month go do a monster wash. You need alot of clothes for this though. But when I'm not in
