My laundry basket is about the same height as the bottom unit (the washer), so I basically just shovel everything in.

Then, transferring to the dryer (stacked on top), it's a matter of pull-it-out-of-the-bottom/stick-it-in-the-top. (God, that sounds way dirtier than it should ... stupid humpday) ...

Then, for unloading the dryer, I just push the basket up to the washer, and flop all the stuff out of the dryer straight down past the washer and into the basket.
