Apparently the "women in need" served by the Women in Need Society are not *that* in need.

We tried to give them a perfectly good computer desk, a futon with 2 mattresses, a kitchen table with chairs (ugly but functional) and 2 end tables. They came to pick the stuff up and would only take the futon and one mattress (they thought they saw some sort of stain on the other) and the 2 end tables. They rejected the kitchen table because it had some scuffing on it, and the computer desk because there was a bit of water damage on one corner of it. You telling me some poor abused woman living in subsidized housing wouldn't use that desk if it was free? Ridiculous.
