So I haven't seen much discussion of this, but at the end of the Bears game yesterday, on the Denver 2 point try, I'm pretty sure the refs screwed up.

Tell me what I'm missing. Denver decides to go for 2 pt. conversion, gets called for delay of game. Ball moves either back to the 7 yd. line for conversion or 20 for xp. They go for extra point, miss it, but Bears called for offsides. Refs move the ball to the 1 for 2 point conversion. How does that make any sense? Should move from 7 half the distance to the goal to the 3 1/2. At worst it should go back to the 2. How does the Bears penalty negate the existence of the prior penalty? Since the Bears won it became water under the bridge and I've seen no explanation. They had the rules guy on the game discuss it momentarily but I never felt like he gave an explanation other than describing that it happened.
