There should be a setting. We don't have a Ring, but we have a Nest and it did the same thing at first. nm

On the phone app for the Nest - when you go to Notifications for whichever doorbell you're wanting to change...

It gives us 3 options:

People
Packages
All Other Motion

We unchecked All Other Motion and that pretty well fixed it up for us.
