T at the constitutional convention or considered one of its author is cited as the “legislative history” that a current federal court of any political persuasion would consider in interpreting what is rather plain text, one that has been followed both times the clause has been invoked
It boggles my mind that we are arguing a president can be impeached for “offending America”
How is this not the “my will be done” approach to government and democratic principles we are decrying. It’s not, it’s just “it’s ok when my side does it because I’m right”
