The comparison to "last time" is very powerful, and can be in both directions--clearly how it is managed will have an effect at the ballot box.
I wholly agree that the Democrats need to be very careful. If they overstep or over play, if they say: "See we are impeaching him because he insulted America!" they will be punished at the ballot box
