For us it is efficiency. Move this off of our internal storage is more space for users (1TB/user), version control (500 versions), external sharing

and long term retention that we can't really do as well on-premise.
Basically all the advantages of "cloud storage". Since we have both OneDrive and these legacy "Home drives", we're getting rid of one.
I use OneDrive extensively at home also. It is fantastic and part of Office 365 if you subscribe to that (we do at home)
