He claims it was "an 'Alladin' costume". Agreed on the politics. Disagree on some of the passivity towards it.

I get that people who don't like Trudeau don't like him a lot and those who do are usually pretty generous towards him in a way that many republicans are generous towards Trump.
But his inability to give a straight answer on this is a problem and it goes to the constant state of bullshit that comes out of him whenever he's pressed for details on this or SNC or anything else he isn't doing well.
His inability to articulate clearly when he would have gone from wearing it at a black tie event (it wasn't a costume theme party) in 2001 to "hiding it out of shame" from the Liberals in 2008's election is also telling somewhat. It's been a moving goalpost.
It's not going to anger me if he wins a minority like it angered me when Paul Martin got his minority in 2004, but it will be frustrating to constantly be under "Conservatives hate brown people" attacks and Trudeau is twirling through this.
I wish Scheer had handled it better last week. He was too strident and focused on racism when nobody was going to suddenly think Trudeau was a racist.
