Our bathroom was finally completed last week. The remodel was precipitated by water leaking around the shower enclosure and then under the tub deck and through the ceiling into our dining room. So, hey, we're gonna have to get a new shower, let's splurge and get the whole bathroom done since we didn't like it anyway.
FUCKING WATER IS LEAKING THROUGH MY GODDAMN DINING ROOM CEILING AGAIN!
One fucking week into using this entirely new bathroom (tiled floor & walls, new shower surround, new fixtures) and water is doing the exact same goddam thing as it was BEFORE we had this work done.
There is absolutely ZERO excuse for it. They had the entire ceiling ripped out in the dining room, every pipe was exposed. If it was anything OTHER than a leak around the shower it would have been obvious.
So, now, at the very least we will need a new ceiling and possibly a new shower pan, a shower pan that isn't a standard size. So the whole thing will have to be torn out to the subfloor and relaid.
Livid barely describes my current mood.
