Vudu was an Ultraviolet platform and Ultraviolet had so called "sharing families" where you could share your movies with other family members.

Ultraviolet is no more. Vudu is also a MoviesAnywhere platform (along with FandangoNow, Amazon Prime, iTunes, etc.) So long as the movie you buy is a "MA" movie, it will show up in all those platforms. But unless you're willing to give someone else your Vudu (or Amazon Prime, FandangoNow, iTunes, etc.) password, no one but you will be able to see that movie in any of those outlets.
