The founded "by, for and of" would be wrong. Most of the Founding Fathers were thiests, yes, but not Christians in any way that Christians today would

Jefferson was probably an Athiest. He certainly enjoyed taking the editing pen to the Bible and was interested in other religions, including Islam.
They were men of faith, mostly, but calling them Christians is a big stretch.
