if you're looking for just web uploadable stuff, flip ultra is a nice option, but there are some better.

the one that really jumped out at me is the kodak zi6 - shoots 720p video (HD, not full, but still good) pretty small, very pretty, upgradable memory capability. they're running about $180, but you get a lot more bang for you buck, plus they look very slick.

get to the stores and play with some.. make sureyou like the menus, how it feels, etc.

if you want to do more than put stuff on youtube, the little camcorders are not suitable for that. you'll need to go with something a bit beefier and complicated (not that complicated, but still harder than point and click).
