I'm losing my faith in people (more overshare)

My daughter placed an order online with a company and we didn't receive the product. They've been fantastic although I honestly thought we lost it in our house somewhere. They sent us a full replacement but we didn't get that either. I checked with them and the address is our neighbor.
Now, I don't know if you knew our whole issue with our neighbor (we'll call them the Smiths) but earlier this summer we tore down the fence between our yards that was falling apart. We were told by our other neighbors (We'll call them the Jones') who lived here before both of us that the fence was on the Smith's property. The Smiths insisted it was ours so the last time they told us that we just said "no problem, we're taking it down"
So we did
We've assumed that they're kind pissy about that, who knows. But anyways, my wife graciously stopped over there today to ask them about the packages (now twice) that were mistakenly delivered there. They said they never got them.
Really people?
I will say, this company we ordered from has been fantastic. I thought they were a joke when my daughter found them online but they've bent over backwards for us and even already refunded my money so I can order again.
