Archer might not end up winning Cy Young's, but for years, he had the most team-friendly contract in baseball. A 28 year old making $6mil a year to give you an ERA under 4.00 in the AL East?
That's a very strong pitcher.
And Glasnow wasn't much in Pittsburgh...surely not someone you'd think was capable of a sub 2.00 ERA. Meadows....yeah, he was the main piece and looks probably better than advertised.
33 homers is a lot...given he'd had 6 in 190 at-bats the first year...that's more than expected so...who knows.
But Archer for Meadows was the deal...with Glawnow as a lottery ticket (much like Arrieta was when the Orioles gave up on him)
