LYC: I receive a robocall from AT&T about a delinquency (my phone confirms it is AT&T). It includes the account number.

I call the referenced number.
"Do you have an account number?" I enter it.
"How can we help you?" I say, "Delinquency"
"Are you calling about your mobile phone?" "Maybe?"
...
"Let me put you through to someone that can help you."
"... How can I help you?" I say, I received a call about account number (number) being delinquent. Can you tell me which account this is as I pay through my bank and want to look into it."
"Can you give me your pass code?" I do and she begins to look.
... after 5 minutes of her looking through I don't know what *I* finally figure out which account it is. The DirecTV. Looks like the sign-up deals ended and they cranked our rates. Cutting cords is eminent.

The reason for this rant is this. WTF did they make it so difficult to find out what was delinquent? I mean, they gave me their phone number and their account number so why don't they know what that is when you call them?"
