I think he'll play the victim, throw a conspiracy theory here and there, and be secretly happy to leave and go scam some folks in the private sector

He is delusional enough that he can turn an obvious defeat in a victory or into martyrdom. He'll use the latter to launch TrumpTV or whatever (maybe join OANN, perhaps even as a rebrand), which will fail miserably when his base will move on to the next shiny turd
