Real drones are the size of a cessna and, generally, can obliterate a tank if necessary. Colloquial drones are just for fun.

I've always associated UAV with the bigger than a Cessna, tank killers or something that can loiter for a day. Drones are things that we can buy

No, that's fair. I just meant that a drone in the military sense largely flies itself, whereas a consumer one is largely RC.
