Way back when, I would visit my grandparents on the farm they live in, far in the countryside. At that time, the light coming from the nearby towns and cities would not be too bright and we had a splendid view of the sky and stars. My Dad would show stuff to me.
Last few times we went there, before the farm was actually sold, the city lights were already bright enough to kill some of the spectacle.
