My doctor put me on Prevacid, but I take a Zantac 1 hour before bed. Zantac does something different for reflux symptoms.

Ask your doctor what they think. Between that and propping my head and back up with a few pillows. I haven't had reflux in years.
I used to wake up choking, and would have lung irritation for days after the event.
