The difference is Corbyn’s had several kicks at the can. This would be more like Kerry coming back. Came close in 2017, flubbed it this time.

Fundamentally he had no position on the major issue of the election. Boris at least had “get brexit done”. Corbyn had “I’ negotiate a better deal somehow then have another referendum and I won’t tell you how I’d campaign in it.”
He spent the last few years afraid to alienate either brexit or remain voters and ended up losing them both. I think that’s the real lesson here.
Really though I don’t think he’s particularly upset about Brexit, he’s been a eurosceptic for 40 years, and his remain campaign was ambivalent at best.
