Exactly. I will shop by price, not by what I desire. If a roma in on sale that week I buy that.

If it's a tomato on the vine I buy that. If Mayonnaise goes on sale for a cheap price of $1.70 I buy 3 of them. That way when they aren't on sale I have 2 in reserve. I get Suave shampoo for 88 cents at Winco. I buy family packs of meat, and freeze them because they are cheaper in family packs even though I only shop for myself. I overcook so I can have leftovers for lunch.
It's all about being smart with your money. I have no problem with public assistance but they really should educate people on how to stretch their dollars. Cut down on the frivolous things they can buy and stick to the nutritious stuff. If they want to buy soda pop let them buy in on their own dime. That way it gives them a choice to use their money or drink juice.
