in the opening ep. the experienced guy says they have to get water before starting. But no, Steve talks everyone into waiting since there will be many fresh water streams ahead. Naturally there were none.
Steve you idiot, why wait? You hired porters to carry everything. the only water you'll touch is the bottle on your hip as you walk.
