You have a couple of choices here:

1. Accept that your circumstances are not a fair reflection of everyone's circumstances.

2. Accept that the plural of anecdote is not data.

Continue to work under false impressions.

You are a smart guy. Smart folks accept that they can be wrong and try to learn from the experience.

Continuing to make an argument that has been shown to be faulty isn't terribly smart.
