The ex-Iranians here in Norway who comment on the matter, seem quite happy US took out the butcher Soleimani and also note how when the Iranian authorities slaughtered some few thousands of protestors recently, it received little media coverage.
What kind of Iranians does people here actually believe mourned a regime-loyal, allegedly psychopathic butcher like Soleimani.. ?
Also, there are over 70M people in Iran. So even if, say, 6M were out in support of the slain general, that would not be so very much (less than 10%) compared to the overall population.
