ya know, there's definitely some bad customer service out there, but why is professional, competent service not enough for some people? Why do they want the employees to basically act like indentured servants and bow down to them?

And it's usually the same customers who can't be bothered to put down their cell phone as they check out too. nm

I had a patron stand in front of the reference desk talking on her cell phone, and when I didn't interrupt her, I heard her say something like
